Carpe Diem…Per Diem…

That’s seems to be what Legislators are saying in Sacramento.

As the world turns, as the budget doesn’t get passed, as new taxes and fees are discussed, as robbery from local government is considered, Legislators are making tax-free money by way of a per diem.

The Governor called our the Legislature for getting paid a per diem this week at the same time that they aren’t passing a budget.

Ira Ruskin? Joe Simitian? Gene Mullin? Are you making money tax-free while the budget is stalled? If so, when can we all expect the gridlock to end because of your efforts? Feel free to respond on Watch Dog — we’re all floppy ears.
