If You are Getting Hitched in San Mateo County..Get Your Wallets Out
County fees are about to go up an a lot of things — but you probably won’t notice.
The Supervisors voted yesterday to charge, or charge more, for things like reserving the County chapel to get married, deputizing a friend to marry you, and getting a CD of voter information.
I have done a little checking — most of these things have been free in San Mateo County, while they are not free to most other communities. So Watch Dog gives this fee increase a PASS — nothing major, not widespread increases, and commensurate with the cost of doing business.
