San Mateo County and the Bailout
In the midst of all the election fun (and Atherton gossip and garbage drama) — Watch Dog missed this little tid-bit from last week. (I don’t feel bad though, I don’t think I saw it reported anywhere else either.)
The Board of Supervisors signed on to a letter to Secretary Paulson getting in line for bail-out money.
Speaking of money — the letter’s money quote:
It would be inequitable were the federal bailout to buy bad mortgages, shoring up banks, yet fail to protect agencies’ taxpayer money.
